Another thing I wanted to comment on that I forgot in my above comment was when Cesar spoke about how important social media networks were when they were creating and building up Conjunctured.

Their use of social media has not faded in any way. Tonight when John was trying to setup the event at Speakeasy, he was constantly tweeting about assistance he needed and some thing called a cat 5 (whatever that is). It was remarkable how much Twitter helped smooth the creases in pre-party planning and preparation.

Then on top of that Cesar, Kristine, Dusty, and even you were all tweeting about tonight's SMC events and the event at Speakeasy. When I was reading all of y'alls tweets, wishing I were having fun along side of you guys, I realized the supporting within the community you guys have created.

As much as I would have loved being there, it was definitely something cool to see from the outside.

It is so great to read Cesar's perspective on social media and its place in Austin. He truly is a great great mind and will be a wonderful leader of the Web in the future.
I had two favorite parts of the interview

First: when he mentioned that he would like to play an integral part in branding Austin as a city. I can just already see him in that role. He embodies Austin so well and has the right kind of mentality to make Austin a great city while still maintaining the quarks that make Austin, Austin.

Second: when he spoke about not compromising yourself just to keep your job, The reason why I loved this so much, is because when I was reviewing his Bio for my last post about Conjunctured, it oozed Cesar. So much of his personality and wit was portrayed through his choice of less formal tone and use of humor.

It is apparent that Cesar knows who he is, he knows what he is capable of, and he knows where he fits into the landscape of social media and web development.

Totally great guy and definitely a wonderful friend.

Yay Cesar!

Ashley, what a great interview. Your friend Cesar gives some great advice. I'm going to have to start following him on Twitter, too.
